Greg & Kristin

Homebodies. I love that this is how Greg and Kristin describe themselves. I told them I like to photograph my clients doing things they enjoy doing together...their response, "Can you photograph us on the couch watching T.V.?" I said of course,...but we didn't. We ventured out into Kristin's quaint little neighborhood in Chicago. My favorite neighborhood in Chicago: Old Town. So much to do, so much to see. I have wanted to do an engagement session here for a while, so I was thrilled when I met up with them and saw where she lived.

Greg and Kristin are getting married in November at Old St. Pat's and their reception is at Swissotel downtown. I can't wait!

Kristin has the most beautiful hair -- and those shoes were great...not too comfortable, but they sure looked good.

I loved this mailbox - there are no fancy mailboxes like this in my neighborhood.

There are little cottage-like houses tucked in the nooks and crannies of Old Town. So unassuming and so welcoming.

She will be such a beautiful bride.

They are so funny because they were wondering what to wear for their session and I had her read my other post about suggestions for wearing something that you are comfortable in and that you would normally wear. They both thought the same thing: khakis!

You can see the rain clouds moving in here...we had to dodge some rain showers, but we got our shots. We walked through Lincoln Park and over the bridge to North Avenue Beach. The humidity level skyrocketed from about 20% to 120% in a matter of minutes.

Thanks for spending the evening with me. Greg & Kristin, you are two of the sweetest people and you make a perfect couple. I am so looking forward to being a part of your wedding day.
