A "Warm" Day at the Beach...

One of my very favorite things to do while in Florida is take photos of my kids at the beach.  I usually never remember to sit down and relax while I'm there.  There are always so many moments I want to snap.

We were fortunate enough to get some time in some warmer weather last week.  We left the babies home again this year, so it made two kids seem easy...when they weren't punching each other.  Ugh.

Sending warm thoughts your way.  Spring, any time you want to show up for the game would be nice.

A Day at the Beach

She had spent the day with her parents and sister shopping and getting pampered with a mani/pedi...all Chris' idea.

Little did she know, he had big plans for her that night.  My eyes watered as the bitter, cold wind whipped past my face as we waited on the open beach surrounded by mounds of snow...then they teared up again as she stepped out of the limo Chris had sent for her...what an electric moment to be witness to.  The beginning of two people making a promise to spend the rest of their lives together.  I honestly was more nervous than Chris.

No detail had been overlooked...he thoughtfully had her Hunter boots waiting for her in the back of the limo so she could keep her feet dry as she made the trek to the very spot they had first laid eyes on each other.

The weather was much warmer on the day they met ;)

She said "Yes."

And just like that, they were off to an evening filled with family, love and good food.

So, I didn't get to shoot an engagement on Valentine's Day, but this was well worth the wait ;)  Ashley & Chris, I can't thank you enough for letting me be a part of your plans.  I will rest up now because your wedding in October is sure to be one big PAR-TAY!  Congrats & lots of love!!!  xoxo

Geneva Bride/Wedding Walk 2013

Faye & I had such a fun day last Sunday meeting new people and eating cupcakes...

Thank you to the amazing Tom Nicol for such fun pics.  I just grabbed a few to show what we were up to.  As I mentioned last week, there were so many cool and creative vendors in attendance.  We were honored to be among them.

Rosemary Fanti is an amazing fashion illustrator who we were lucky to be stationed close to...she surprised us with our very own drawings.  She sure knows how to make a girl feel good about herself...I know I look nothing like my drawing, but a girl can dream! ;)

I must have been telling a really good joke here.  What kind of face is that?  Just wait...it gets better...

I am sure I was salivating here before devouring this peanut butter cupcake.

Now, clearly, Tom snuck up on us here ;)

We had lots of laughs.

I didn't have much time to get photos of many of the other vendors because we were busy eating The Sugar Path's cupcakes...but I just grabbed a few shots of some close by to us.

Caitlin Hazelton is another wedding photographer is Geneva who Faye & I actually went to high school with too.  She is super sweet.
