Up all night

To say I am behind on blogging would be the understatement of the year.  I'm talking six months behind.  So behind that it was keeping me up at night...well, that is if other things weren't keeping me up at night too...namely, Brynn, Kyler, Riles & Breck.

It has been so bad lately that last night I kept a log that I wrote down every time I had to get out of bed to help someone.  I used to do it mentally, but my mental capacity to even hold a logical conversation is seriously being compromised by this sleep deprivation.

8:30 p.m.   Everyone was sleeping.
11:00 p.m. I turned my computer off and went to bed.
12:05 a.m. Riles wanted his baba.
12:39 a.m. Ky tried to crawl in my bed.
1:36 a.m.   Ky woke up crying.
2:31 a.m.   I woke up because it was hotter than Hades in our room and had to turn down the air.
3:45 a.m.  Breck wanted his baba.
4:12 a.m.  Brynn woke me up to tell me she had to go potty.  She must have been walking in her sleep.     I did not get out of bed, but c'mon man, I don't need the play by play!
5:46 a.m.  Riles & Breck both wanted babas.
6:19 a.m.  Riles & Breck again.
6:47 a.m.  R&B were up for the day.

And last night was a good night.  The night before was way worse than last night and the cherry on top was the smoke detector that started beeping at 5:40 a.m.  Then it turned into that beeping smoke detector that wouldn't quit even when I took the battery out like on "Friends."  Phoebe took a hammer to it which is what I wanted to do, but I was too tired to go find a hammer.

So, other than not sleeping...this is what I have been up to in the past six months....and this does not include any of the weddings I have been shooting every weekend since May.  Those are still a work in progress.

Senior pics.

This was the couple whose wedding we shot last weekend.  True class acts.

This was a special session for me...how sweet was it that Linda's husband wanted some nice photos of his hot wife?  I don't think he was disappointed...except for the fact that they weren't actual nudies.  You have to pay extra for that, Bart.

Looking forward to this wedding coming up later this year.

I loved how this shoot turned out so much that I tricked my kids into having a "picnic" in the same spot with my homemade tent/teepee.  (Thanks Dad!)

And well, Scarlett, just thought I was hilarious...or was she laughing at my assistant Brynn?

Another wedding I am looking forward to...

You may remember Erika & Charlie from their Jamaican wedding last summer.  As you can see, they've been busy ;)

If there is anything I am learning these days, it's let boys be boys.  A bath can fix everything.

Kelly, my hair stylist...you all know how much I love her.  In fact, I am going in tomorrow.  (just a little bit of TMI for you).

Lexi, you kill me.  She came up with all her own poses.

Ladies, don't underestimate how fun it would be to have some great photos of yourself just for fun.  Maybe we should have a party and do fun, cute pics of all those moms out there who need an excuse to get out of those sweats.  Can I get an amen?

Alright, well, one less thing weighing on my mind tonight as I try to get some sleep.  This was a lot of "to-do's" getting crossed off my list.  Amen, good night and sleep tight.
