The day I spent with the friends and family of Megan & Patrick is one I will not forget. The celebration of their marriage was so meaningful and sweet, I enjoyed every minute of it. You may remember them from their St. Patrick's Day engagement session in the city.
Every single person Faye and I came in contact with at this huge wedding was more pleasant than the next. Megan's bridesmaids were so sweet.
How many bridesmaids does it take to assist the bride with putting on her wedding dress? ;)
Megan's mom greeted me with a big hug and made me feel like part of the family. She is a nurse so her and Megan put together a little "snack pac" for me to keep me energized throughout the day. Their thoughtfulness was overwhelming.
Kayla the flower girl was the most cooperative three-year-old I have ever been around....no offense to my daughter, Brynn.
The weather could not have been scripted better....it drizzled on the way to the church, but then it cleared up after the ceremony long enough to let the guests enjoy drinks and appetizers at Patrick's parents' house before heading to the reception at Boulder Ridge in Lake in the Hills in the pouring rain. The skies turned blue as we pulled up to take some outdoor shots. It was unbelievable.
This bridal party was ready to PAR-TAY. They were so much fun ;)
Megan & Patrick, thank you so much for welcoming Faye and I in to your homes and your lives. Your families and friends are just as special as the two of you and we truly enjoyed ourselves. Thank you so much for your hospitality and genuineness. Have a wonderful honeymoon in France! I will be in Door County, not quite France, but still, it is my happy place ;)
Kelly,
ReplyDeleteThank you so much for taking the time to post your blog about Meg and Patrick's wedding before you left on vacation! The pictures are just beautiful and we can't wait to see them all posted. You and Faye did a fabulous job and we feel so lucky to have shared our day with you and to have you capture it for us with your artful touch. You two made it so easy and were so fun to work with! Thank you again...Megan's mom
