Hot fun in the summertime

She was the Delta Zeta Historian, and I inherited the position from her after elections.  We both have a love of photos and preserving history.  You should see how many photos this girl has around her house.

He was the foxy Pike with the guitar that won the Delta Zeta Dream Man contest with his rendition of Guns N' Roses "Patience."  Complete with the entire whistling part too.  It was impressive.

Flash forward twelve years, give or take, and meet their three kiddos.

I assumed he probably played for them quite a bit and thought it would be fun to do a little family sing-a-long.

Who am I kidding?  I just wanted to see the foxy Pike play the guitar again.

I am particularly proud of this shot.  Jake doesn't sit like this for long and I happened to anticipate it and click at the right moment.

When I say it was hot out, that is an understatement.  It was probably cooler in a sauna.  Luckily, we found some water to cool us off.

We got a little messy, but that is what made this so fun.  I got the go ahead from mom to do anything I wanted, and we ran with it.

Thank you guys for such a fun shoot.  I did not cool off until I was finally able to hop in the shower later.  I sweated through my tank top in the front and back...something I don't ever do, even at the gym.  It was H-O-T!!!  Thanks for embracing the summer weather Gbur family!  Enjoy your sneak peek.
