Paladin Partners, Alice Cooper & Mil-e-wa-kay

"Isn't Milwaukee an Indian name?"

"Why yes Pete, it is.  Actually, pronounced 'Mil-e-wa-kay.'  Which is Algonquin for "The Good Land."

Such an underrated city..."Mil-e-wa-kay."  I spent the best day a few months ago with Meghan & Bill of Paladin Partners exploring the sights, taking some head shots for their new website and hanging out with Alice Cooper's roadies.

Random?  I'll say.

First, Paladin Partners:

Megan and I met while she was a bridesmaid for Megan & Patrick's wedding last August in Palatine and she contacted me to do the head shots for her new business venture.  They are so hot, if you pick up the December issue of Forbes Magazine, you can read this article all about them.

Their new website is still in the works, but I stole this from their current site:

Paladin Partners, LLC is an independent fee-only financial planning firm located in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. We help you clarify your goals, create a written plan for achievement of your goals, help you implement your plan, and review progress periodically.

Here are some of the images you may see on their new site:

After we were done shooting, I enjoyed a little photo safari fun time by myself.

While we were shooting around town, we got invited in to shoot backstage at the Pabst Riverside Theater while the roadies were setting up for Alice Cooper's show that night.  Although Alice was not there, it was still a cool sight to see.

It is kind of ironic that Wayne & Garth saw Alice Cooper play in Milwaukee in the movie "Wayne's World" and then he happened to be playing there again when my path crossed with him 18 years later.

I got offered tickets for the show that night as well, but I had to get back home for another shoot that night.  Now, if it were Kenny Chesney or the Rolling Stones, that shoot would have been rescheduled ;) No offense Alice, I just don't know that many of your songs.

All in all, the whole day was a wonderful experience and I made lots of new friends.  Have I mentioned how much I love my job?

Also, check out Paladin Partners for all your financial needs.  They really Rock.  (Sorry, I couldn't resist ;)

Going on three weeks...

...of germs and sickness around here.  Just when I thought we were done, Chad came down with a terrible cold and sore throat and now my kids are throwing up and their noses are snotty again.

I am trying to stay on top of everything and also prepare for the Holiday Happy Hour on Friday.  I hope you can make it.  I am germ free.

Here are some overdue pics from another wonderful shoot with Addison from my baby plan.  She is nine months old already.

I dared to return to the scene of the crime where my first damask chair was stolen a year and a half ago.  This time I did not let it out of my sight.

More overdue sneak peeks to come.

J. Crew maternity

As far as I know, J. Crew does not have a maternity line.  But if they did, I am positive they would be knocking down the door of my friend Kristy.

You may recognize these smiling faces from past sessions and also from our photos from Jamaica.  Web and Kristy have become great friends to Chad and I value their friendship greatly.

Web says he loves hanging out with us...he just always hope I leave my camera at home ;)  Love ya Web!!

Amazingly, Kristy is due January 1st with another little guy.  Her bump was not very big, so I needed to see some skin to prove there was something under there.

Love you guys!
