A keeper

I was literally moved to tears this morning when I woke up to a phone full of texts, voicemails and emails from all of you extending your support and words of encouragement.  You have no idea how much that helped me.  More than you'll ever know.  Thank you, thank you, thank you.

Chad was wondering if someone would want to make a reality show out of our circus life.  He said they could call it "Chad & Kelly plus four...plus a dog with two bad legs...and no house."  Sounds compelling, doesn't it??  That would be some must see TV.  Or maybe Ellen could help us out.  That would be awesome.

When we moved all our stuff into storage, I got rid of all my baby stuff (I was feeling not so sentimental at the time).  No more high chair, no more baby car seat, no more toys.  If any of you are done having kids and don't know what do to with your baby stuff...we will gladly give it a new home.  We will be finding out the sexes in July...because you know how I hate surprises ;)

Anyhoo...enough about me.  How about this adorable family??  Baby Cameron is one loved little guy.  Who could resist this little face?

This one is my favorite.  Look how baby Cameron is looking at his mama.

Congrats Cherise & Justin.  That Cameron is a definite keeper.  xoxo

The cat is out of the bag

I have been mentally writing this blog for a while now.  Trying to find the right words.  The right tone.  Melancholy & cautious?  Happy & jovial?  Or just the facts and straight to the point?

I guess I am still trying to figure out how I feel about it.  I can feel the tears stinging right now behind my eyes and I feel ashamed and selfish to have those emotions be the strong ones.  I want so much to be overjoyed with happiness, but I am a planner, and this was not in our "plan."

We found out about a month ago that I am pregnant with #3.  Which was great news.  We were surprised, but we laughed and said ok Lord.  This must be the right time for this (if there is ever a good time).  Then a few weeks after that came the real kicker...TWINS!!!!

Yes.  As Brynn keeps telling every Tom, Dick & Harry...there are two babies in my belly!  They run in our family and we always knew this was a possibility, but never seriously entertained the idea.

I am overwhelmed and nauseous.  Tired and bloated.

This changes everything.  Our home search has been kicked into high gear and we have expanded our search to include bigger homes no longer only in the downtown Geneva area :(

As for my business, well, be sure to book your sessions before October ;) and we can still get your holiday cards done in time.  No worries for anyone on my baby plans or my 2012 weddings.

I am excited and the idea has been slowly sinking in.  I just haven't figured out how this is going to work logistically.  I guess I will just never sleep.  Ever. Again.  What doesn't kill you only makes your stronger, right?

My very best girlfriends and my family have been so wonderfully supportive.  I am so thankful for them and Chad as they help me put this in perspective.  We're just going to need a bigger boat.

This would explain the scarce blogging lately and the last minute trip to Florida.  We may never travel ever again as a family...haha, so we had to fit in one last trip.

Hopefully you will come along for the ride as I go on this next adventure.

Ok, I lied.

I know I complained earlier this spring about not planning on going anywhere warm.  Well, we have taken all we can take with this crappy Chicago "spring" weather.  The snow this week was the last straw.  We grabbed our flip flops and our swimsuits and we are getting the heck out of dodge for the weekend.

I hope you have a wonderful Easter holiday with your families & friends and I will catch up with you early next week.

I hope this little Easter Bunny comes hopping in your front door.

You've come a long way, baby

Little Tripp sure has given his mom & dad a run for their money.  After a few months of some colic and acid reflux, these smiles were much needed.  He was a total angel and big bro Finn was such a helper.

If you look close enough, you can almost hear him giggle.

Love those baby parts.

Sweet boy!  You put a smile on my face every time I look at these.

New beginnings

"Umm, you haven't blogged in a while..."

I am so sorry for the long silence.  Life has been CrAzY lately for us and we're enjoying living in this moment.

I have been shooting lots too and I can't wait to share some fun stuff.  This weather has been so great and Spring Fever has kicked in big-time.  The grass sure is getting greener.

With the new season comes new beginnings...Kate & Andy wait patiently for the next chapter of their lives to begin...

These two were so much fun and were really game for anything I threw at them.  I had so many favorites  from this session, I had to really make myself cut down on the number of images I wanted to blog.

I enjoyed trying out some fresh editing "looks" and had fun with all of these...

Love this series:

Can't wait to hear if you have a boy or girl.  I am guessing boy based on the way you are carrying, but that is just an old wives tale.

Thank you so much you guys for such a fun time!  Enjoy your sneak peek!
